About me
A little background
I was born and raised in Monza, a small city near Milan, in the northern part of Italy. I've always been creative and curious, even as a child, and you would often find me with crayons in my hand drawing something up. I fell in love with computers and technology after buying my first PC, a 386 Compaq!
In 2006 I decided to embark on a new adventure and flew all the way to Sydney, Australia. I've been calling this vibrant and multicultural city home for the past 10+ years.
The past decade has been all about finding the right medium to express my abilities and developing my professional skills.
My skills
I worked for more than 6 years in the printing industry, in one of the busiest Snap franchises in Australia. This experience has helped develop both my creative and technical skills. Attention for details, strong organizational skills and good comunication were paramount for the task.
Early in 2017 I decided to enrol in a Web Development Immersive 3 month long bootcamp style course at General Assembly. I've always been interested in and fascinated by coding, especially for the Web. The course was a wonderful experience and helped me craft and strengthen skills in the following stack and tools:
-
HTML5
-
CSS3
-
Javascript
-
jQuery
-
React
-
Ruby
-
Rails
-
Heroku
-
Github
-
Sketch
-
Photoshop
-
Illustrator
My interests
In addition to keeping up to date with the latest technologies and innovations, I like listening to music, reading non-fiction books, trying the latest food craze and go coastal/bush walking.
Traveling and exploring new places also play an important part in my life. Discovering and immersing myself in new and different cultures and environments are something that greatly inspire me. It was during a trip to Japan over 10 years ago that I decided to experiment and challenge myself by relocating to a new country.
Over the past 2 years, I also found a passion for film photography and vinyasa yoga. I find joy in these two activities because they both help me slow down and find presence in the moment. I think this is something important to engage with, especially in the fast-paced and overstimulating world that we live in!
